~~Even when our governments are openly organising to oppress us, we refuse to organise to defy them. “I’m all right, Jack” is the phrase that will see our movement into the grave.~~

There's a trick I call the "chaff" method. As a hypothetical example, if you have to write down your password, you write it down on a paper with a dozen other possible passwords on it.

If you study "Nudge" and other dark design theories, you can't help but notice similar maneuvers. In this case, it's not always that people can't organize, it's that governments and others have figured out to attack several directions at once. Then it becomes win-win. Either everyone remains split, with those who object spread out between topics A, B and C, leaving them too weak to oppose you. Or if they do manage to unite say around A, then you can yield there and advance on topic C that is now undefended.

Is there a solution? Yeah, but it will involve people picking up responsibilities, and a lot of current government efforts revolve around their realizations that people are lazy and you can be oppressive if you paint it as convenience.

Now that this silliness is going to go ahead, it will be interesting to see what tactics people who once had platforms come up with. It reminds me a little how in the days before the internet whenever I had an issue I wanted to spread, I would make flyers, go to the library and stick them in books dealing with the subject I was campaigning about. I have a feeling, given the way the UK is heading, you will need to be wearing rubber gloves if you go around putting flyers about.

The UK is in deep self imposed shit that’s simply incomprehensible from the other side of the pond. I do understand that the exact same view of the US is probably felt by those overseas. What I simply don’t understand is the lack of freedom of speech, the kowtowing to Muslim immigrants and especially the seeming tolerance of the rape of your daughters. What the fuck has happened to the country of Shakespeare and Churchill? When will you show some pride in your long heritage?

"Gab was forced to either abandon its principles, or abandon Britain."

No it wasn't. Get all of your assets out of Britain and refuse to comply. This is what Rumble did when France came knocking. They FORCED France to block them at the IP level, Great Firewall of China style.

Very great piece enjoyed this albeit it’s worrying.

It’s crossed my mind often that during any future conflict (Russia China and prime candidate Iran) that dissident voices and platforms will be dropped like a bag of spuds with the exception of X because Musk has made a deal with the devil. Information control is key in our age and you’ve highlighted how the British state have convolutedly gotten around that without overtly being called totalitarian.

Rumble will be fine as a platform but the spicy content authors will be cheerily booted off at the drop of a bowler:

Notorious shareholders include among others; Vanguard, BlackRock, State Street Corp, Morgan Stanley...

I seem to recall something about Palantir/Thiel using it for some purpose, but I'm sure it's nothing to be alarmed about though.

I know it's kind of besides the point but do the British dissidents know VPNs exist?

The issue is how many people are likely to go to the trouble of finding out about VPNs and installing one. Very, very few.

Good point about the VPNs. I have one, but because it sometimes slows download speeds and can interfere with paying something where I need to be paying from my own country, I rarely use it.

Fair enough but the majority that won't wasn't going to join Gab or Bitchute anyway. I can see how it becomes a concern with more mainstream sites.

Trump's Truth Social platform might prove useful. At present it's just MAGA Twitter but if all else gets banned the President's own social media might be left standing. I wondered why he kept it instead of just returning to Twitter, perhaps he or his team guessed there might come a day where it would be valuable. Of course, unless something radically changes it would be hostile to anything critical of Our Greatest Ally, but maybe there would be pressure to run it on free speech principles.

Regarding Musk and X, I think there might be another possibility. He might refuse to comply and instead do what he did with the grooming gang issue, but on a much larger scale - a non-stop barrage of anti-Government invective which is likely to contain material the Government would rather not discuss. One can only hope.

I don't think Ofcom will be effective much longer because I think the British government will soon be largely ineffective because of economic and societal breakdown.

The Internet is not that easy to control. Communist China, a savage police state, banned VPNs in 2018 and their use has double since then. If the CCP can't block them, then I doubt the British government will be able to either. There will be ways around British government censorship.

Trump might move to punish the UK by pounding the country economically. If the US leaned hard on the UK, the country would look like Haiti in year (and parts of the UK already do...)

But, let's say Trump does nothing about Ofcom censorship, that won't change the situation on the ground. The UK's economy is spiralling. Migrants continue to flood into the country, and the stress fractures are growing. I honestly don't think the UK will survive much longer. I don't. The West is now in the middle of a breakdown crisis and Trump's tariffs (whether you support them or not) have upended the global economy. Supply chains are starting to break.

I think it's a safe bet that the world will be wracked with some form of serious upheaval by 2026. I don't even want to imagine what the world will look like in a year. If Western Europe finds itself in a land war with Russia next year, censorship could go parabolic--or it could implode with systems failing and states struggling to survive.

We are in the midst of a quickening.

Now, anything is possible.

I concur. I no longer believe Britain can make it, at least in its current form. As brutal as that may be our problems are not fixable. An Establishment completely out to lunch is just one aspect. An out of control bureaucratic state is another. Neither are going to survive in my view. They live in fantasyland. Immigration alone will kill off the current groups running the country. At the last election Starmer was told by a certain cultural group this was probably the last election they would support Labour as in future they won't need them.

Like most watching this happen I cannot conceive of what is going on in the minds of the great and good who want these ruinous policies, or the hoi polloi who seem to not care. I personally know people still incensed the UK left the EU and imagine the future is us rejoining. Stupid hobbitses as someone recently called them.

Democracy can't survive when people vote along racial, ethnic, and religious lines. At that point, the issues no longer matter; it's all about race and religion. Democracy dies. This is why multiculturalism always fails. Always.

Most people deep down know this is deeply disturbing and very dangerous.

Interesting the only seat gain in the 2024 election for the Tories was Leicester East who is a Hindu fundamentalist.

Come 2029/2034 I think the country will be deeply balkanised and a low level civil war going on.

Which will go hot.

Arguably it’s already started.

I agree. I am tired of explaining to people no multiculutral society has ever survived, and the end result is always violence and ethnic conflict. Most people do not think. They just accept what they are told, and the media have convinced many a multi-ethnic society is normal. Those who oppose it are racists and hatemongers.

I pity them for what they will face. They are not prepared for the degree of hate they will be subjected to. Other groups absolutely despise us. Only the orientals seems to get along with whites.

How did it come to this?

The number one problem with censorship is that it creates an ongoing and ever-increasing motive force for eventual cognitive dissonance amongst the population like a battery being charged up and all it needs is for some undeniable reality, a conductor if you will, to land across the terminals of that battery and all hell lets loose, ........ a hell of the deep state's own making.

Freedom of speech and thought and absence of manipulation of the public prevents such a battery even existing but we live in the world with many such batteries and it shall be fun watching them all be shorted one after another like an EV going up in flames, provided there is no one trapped inside them of course.

Who knows what form these conductors shall take but one thing is for sure and certain, when you have a battery there is always someone who is going to see the potential in that battery to push their own agenda and as that battery of potential cognitive dissonance has been created by the deep state lies then by definition the biggest bang per buck is going to come from a very different reality intervening to make use of it.

WE are on the right side of history but they, including Ofcom, are quite literally playing with fire and it is a fire they can't even see but we can.

You sound very optimistic. Here is something to really sit down and think about. Censorship WORKS, okay, got it?! The powers that be would never employ it if it did not work! Why is this simply, observable fact so hard to grasp. If people only ever hear one side of things it has an enormous influence on their minds. Even if presented with solid evidence to the contrary, most people will slip back into the ways they have been brought up with, especially if these views are reinforced over and over again. The few who can see through it all, are still bound by the need to go along to get along. As a friend on mine once put it “we were beaten by a smarter people” (he was talking about Jews, but it’s basically the same thing as that’s where all this originates from). These people have won in the UK, or at least won in bringing about the end of a predominantly White Britain, of that I absolutely known I am correct! Perhaps, with so many Muslims you could increase hatred of Jews, and even with other non-Whites (you’d be surprised just how more open to hating Jews non-Whites are!). That’s why my efforts are mainly: saving humanity from Jewish Supremacists! Now let’s get those numbers up!

The British Empire didn't end, it merely went underground. Great Britain is the home of the modern Globalist movement. Whether it's banksters, or intelligence agencies, financial institutions, multi-national corporations, the criminals who run the UK are in charge of it. What's happening in the UK is on its way to everywhere else. I think it's the seat of the Beast myself.

Agreed. Britain is the nerve center of the police state apparatus that entrenches globalism worldwide. It is a huge mistake to dismiss the British state because of its economically and politically diminished government and peasantry. The actual power structure remains fully intact and may be even stronger, and the British government and people are largely irrelevant to that.

"The actual power structure remains fully intact and may be even stronger, and the British government and people are largely irrelevant to that."

Exactly. I'm afraid it's the same here in the US. Even if Trump is sincere about the Deep State he ultimately can't do anything about it, the cancer is too deep. It's like the alien being that wraps around your spinal cord and can't be removed without killing you.

Expand full comment
Jack Dobsen's avatar

Yes. The US Deep State only could be eradicated with a full-throated, unrelenting assault and even then the odds would be long. I also think the cancer probably is too deep but that obviously is just a guess. The most likely scenario is the Trump Administration continues to employ half-measures, which are in part successful but only inflame the police state apparatus and cause it to snap back in full at a later date. The old line that someone who goes up to the bell had better ring it really applies here.

I do believe what I wrote, I think the shadow British Empire is not considered as much as it should be, most seem more inclined to jump to blaming the US and its overt Imperialistic practices. I'm a Christian who considers all the globalist tyranny to be a team effort coordinated by the dark lord of the lower-archy who rules from his low places, if you know what I mean. But, yeah, what hope does the human race have when birth rates are plummeting everywhere. Something is going on.

Population decline is global. China is at 1.1 per woman, for instance. I strongly suspect it is partly environmental; food and water supplies, maybe endocrine disruptors. But partly cultural. If women prioritize work as they do in the West, it is not survivable. So the future is either arranged marriages or oblivion.

That said, urbanization may be the culprit too. We are rats in cages these days.

As for the remnant of the British Empire, who can say. I would love to know why European and North American elites have lost their minds. Mass immigration alone will destroy them and their children. I don't get it. Where is their sense of self-preservation?
