While I welcome your analysis, I think it falls short on a few points.
I live in London. Plenty of residential neighbourhoods just outside the centre and the main axes (Camden, Islington, Lambeth, Southwark) are dotted with rubbish stashes and littered with rubbish and shit. The locals still abide by the usual common decency: they bring their rubbish bags to the bins and even collect some of the litter. Some areas are vandalised: walls and pavements splashed with paint, decorative bricks broken, or smashed front fences. The public services and their contractors do work: they completely collect the rubbish once month or month-and-half, they clean up and repair once a year. By now the locals are fatalistic since no visit to the local councillor, no petition, no mobilisation yields anything.
In parallel the Financial Times has announced that most mid-tier law firms have increased their entry-level salaries to 140'000 GBP per year. These firms reflect an entire group of favoured professions, way beyond finance, that pay well so London has at least a million of persons, and perhaps close to two, that make at least 150'000 GBP per year. These people can afford million-pound apartments and houses and live a good life. For these people patriotism is a form racism and something to be rejected in its entirety. Anything else would be insulting to their dear colleagues from different ethnicities, who are so much like them. The ruling classes live among them, think like them, and organised the current state of affairs for them.
What you stated amounts to the definition of the objective enemy of Carl Schmitt. The ruling class and the upper class are the objective enemies of the English and the Scottish nations. As things stand one group destroys the other. The ruling and upper class have the upper hand and the government has become their armed wing. I forgot what Marxist thinker of yore said it but it has become true.
Does anyone else 'smell a rat' with ol' Civil-War-is-a-coming Professor Betz? I think there's something not right about it; my spidey senses kick in when I see wall to wall coverage of him.
I've wondered about this, obviously, but actually no I don't think he's a plant. I think it's inevitable that, as things get worse, some academics are going to realise the situation, and he just happens to be among the first.
Betz's analyses are usually destined for a self-selected group of people in the defence, intelligence, police, or legal circles. Whatever his understanding of the current state of Britain, his being paraded on mainstream media is unusual and must have been put forward by some interested party. This is what is actually suspicious.
Since Covid, many more of us appear to have developed 'expert fatigue', so the weight of being a Professor or Academic may not mean as much. The luxury of studying and theorycelling Civil War in the Ivory Tower! Come to think of it, perhaps he is one of the characters come alive from 'Camp Of The Saints'.
I've been studying revolutions for the past couple of years now, and I have to say your analysis is just about spot on with regard to what is going to happen. Labor are going to go from chaos to chaos due to the public finances and Reform will walk the next election. Labor and the Conservatives are as done as is immaginable. Reform, from what I can see from the way Farage is acting and the lack of any seriousness in their policy proposals (primarily that they still think having a policy that is enacted through the current disbursement of authority is possible) leads me to understand that they will be an utter catastrophe.
I suspect that the Tory backers will try to skin suit Reform as the new Conservative front but they are out of options. Farage could sit there at the head of a 100% Reform parliament and he would still have zero ability to do anything. I don’t think it is well understood enough how bad the UK “elite” have made a mess of their finances. They have a quarter of their debt in inflation linked gilts which is why the debt repayments have skyrocketed. They are broke and their attempts to cut spending are being blocked at every step. Their tax raises will be an obvious disaster, and to top it off they have massive immigration from people who are, discounting all the other problems they cause, a net negative on finances. To top this off councils are going broke left and right. The math of “diversity” was always utter bullshit, but now it’s coming home to roost far quicker than anyone expected because of these gilts. In many ways, this is something of a miracle. This needs to come to a head now. Not in 20 years, or 30, now, and it is.
What causes revolutions isn’t some spontaneous flowering of freedom or whatever crap liberals claim as they air strike some tin pot dictator and then pay and organise people to topple them. What causes revolutions, real ones, is a reforming state which loses control of the reforming. The UK needs reforming and it can’t do it. There are too many institutions that would not be willing to take the hit. They won’t take the pay cuts, they won’t take the staff cuts, they won’t take the redundancy, and they won’t take the necessary changes that would be “racist” and “hateful”. In short, there is no way this comes out as anything but revolution. Probably during the Reform government when they continue to piss off people.
The only real way I see as a way out of this is if Reform suddenly transformed into an actual party. I don’t mean a “parliamentary” party, but something akin to the Communist party of the Soviet Union or China. I’m talking having their members trained in policing tactics by law enforcement so they can step in as actual de facto if not de jure officers when things go out of control, organs of organisation outside of the current government ones which would be designed to actually help local communities (something which could mobilise members to carry out functions the local council have just stopped doing, like helping people take out trash, provide assistance in the wake of vandalism, crime, accidents, and so on) separate funding means, separate communications channels and so on.
What’s frustrating is that much of this is not that hard to plan and organise. Reform is getting funding from lots of sources, including the Americans, and it could insist that all the elected MPs and councillors provide a percentage of their government salaries to fund the party. Any of them that refused would be questionable. Why would you not be willing to do this? That would be millions a year guaranteed. You could also run a blanket ban on Reform member talking to ANY of the press. All communication can, and should, be done through social media. What argument would the press have for complaining about this? There is no justification for their existence in the age of social media. You would also be able to mobilise Reform members directly to enact decisions in the case that the government agencies proved intransigent. You would just cut the government out and replace it.
But all of this would require massively ratcheting things up when so few people can understand what’s coming, so first the Labor disaster, then the Reform clusterfuck.
The more I watch this unfold, the more I think the reason civilizations rise and fall—and why we never seem to learn from history—is because humans are inherently fallible and often delusional. I think we tend to function best when our environment imposes limits on us.
Right now, we're being asked to undo or radically change the very systems we've built, and for many, that seems like an impossible ask.
Maybe that's why real change usually comes only through war or natural disaster—because we're rarely capable of reasoning our way out of a bad path. It’s not until we're forced to change that we actually do.
Yes, and geopolitical conflict is a potent driver of that. Going broke, which the UK is, means reform, which means pushback, which means conflict, which means chaos because no one knows what they are doing, until someone takes over and begins centralizing in the ashes of what left over.
Britain has bet the farm on a victory in the war in Ukraine. Seizing Ukraine's natural resources, its rare earth minerals with a hastily scrawled piece of paper- remember that? Alexander Mercouris said that he had never seen anything like it, and doubted its legality. Well, those lands are now under Russian boots and will stay there or the earth itself become a radioactive cinder.
Britain and the rest of the rapacious central banking epicentres wanted to base a massive, financial-system-saving bailout on the looting of Ukraine, as a consolation prize for failing to break apart Russia and loot it. A now ancient Western delusion.
This war was supposed to be the basis for a new credit cycle. A partial victory, a peace treaty, even a managed loss, could have yielded enough sovereign foreign resources to create some sort of material wealth to base a new credit bubble on. But this is a total defeat. There are no spoils, just debt, costly obligations, and destroyed lives and equipment which the deindustrialized West cannot replace.
I heard that the American air defense missiles will take about 4 years to replenish to their pre-war levels. I suspect that they will never reach that level. And China has not even entered the fray. When Ukraine implodes, and Kiev falls, there may be enough public anger at the realizatiuon that this new "Yookay" cannot win wars to possibly kick something off. Britain took a mortal demographic wound in WW1, lost its empire in WW2, and is now losing WW3. Its not hard to deduce that the cost may be the nation itself.
They will recreate the conditions that lead to the current dilemma unless the Working class "monster" they create becomes a powerful force in itself, something they cannot put back in a box afterwards.
The Elites must only be a stepping stone to far more radical people taking charge of the effort.
If the banks remain in place, or the civil service, or any other vestige if this corrupt order, then no long term good has been effected.
I'm not sure that the banks will have any basis to lend anyone anything by this time, next year. The hard assets are gone. Britain's control of natural resources in faraway places is now ending completely, under decolonialization. The island itself has few natural resources, and they are bound up under ideological chains such as the global warming nonsense. Anything of tangible value that Britain had has long ago been leverged to the hilt.
The best outcome that I can see is a massive crash, which purges a lot of the brown out of the system, to simply leave. And a renewal of basic values- a family around a table, just grateful to have food. Unplugged from the completely discredited shit on the telly, having a British Rennaissance which rediscovers the best parts of itself, while eschewing the anti-natal, anti-western ideologies that caused the impoverishment. This is completely possible.
Your series on this subject is outstanding. I wouldn't even suggest that I can improve upon your writings. I would only want to add a bit that might clarify what a new government of your great country might want to do. I'm of the strong opinion that our moral and psychological problems are rooted in our central banks and our welfare states. The first thing your new government needs to do is abolish the Bank of England and arrest everyone connected to it. If the Tower of London has vacancies you should use them. Next you should abolish the NHS, it actually makes you sick. It was designed to polish you off when the right moment arrived. Just knock over the remaining dominoes, and you'll be well on your way to making a full recovery.
Repudiate Clement Attlee in spirit. Winston Churchill tried to warn you about him, but unfortunately you jumped to the conclusion that Winnie was the bad guy, at least for a while. But the ghost of Clement still haunts us all.
For personal reasons, I'm glad to see you included the points that:
- Native Brits (or any European group) aren't going to convince politicians by their superior arguments. That ship has sailed.
- People are caring less about 'fairness' (or more to the point, white people are realising that it was never about 'fairness', and they were the only group ever told to think in such terms).
I believe that this is a fulcrum point. A new stage will be reached once a quorum of natives internalise this. Remove WiFi and easy access to food, and it becomes the only fulcrum point. Replace them, before they replace you (legally).
I knew this day--this recognition by the average man of the danger we face--would come--and I knew it would come very late in the game. Hopefully, it's not too late.
I have personally decided to Block on X Yookay and Radio Genoa because tbh I believe they are Hostile Pakistani Accounts that champion White death and demoralisation. Why consume enemy demoralisation and propaganda that is weaponised against you?
We'll said and well reasoned. I've been saying much the same for the past decade. Your correct we haven't suffered enough yet. However, as you've stated power isn't wielded by an impotent, indifferent, apathetic, demoralised and disorganised majority. Power is wielded by an active, self-interested and well organised elite, even if that elite isn't part of the current elite and power structures. The Czechs, Slovenians and Hungarians came up with an effective alternative during their servitude and emisseration in the Soviet Era and Warsaw Pact. Alternative Polis. Though this will have to be backed up by other means of employing power and force, probably something similar to Northern Ireland, only without the socialist oikophobes subversion. Never place all one's eggs in the same basket is good advice and looking at the parasitic elites, advice they know and practice well.

Is that fella making a full English on a gas grill?
Never attribute to incompetence what can be attributed to malice? The list where this should not be the rule continues to shorten.
